Who I Work With

I work with adults experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties. You may come to counselling with a clear issue, such as anxiety, grief, relationship problems, or low mood. Or you may come with a quieter feeling that something is not right.

You may be feeling stuck, disconnected, lonely, overwhelmed, or unsure of yourself. You may be questioning who you are, what you need, or why certain patterns keep repeating.

Whatever brings you here, you do not need to have everything worked out before you make contact.

My Approach

I work integratively, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Transactional Analysis.

This means therapy can be flexible. Some people want space to explore emotions and past experiences. Others want practical tools for anxiety, stress, or low mood. Many people need a mixture of both.

At the heart of my work is a person-centred belief that you are the expert on your own life. I will not tell you who to be or push you towards answers that do not fit. Instead, we will work together to understand what you need and what may help.

Therapy with me is warm, respectful, and collaborative. You set the pace. We build the work around you.

Support tailored to your needs

My Counselling Services

The services listed below are just a sample of the support I can provide. If you’re unsure what you need, or don’t see your particular concern mentioned, please feel free to get in touch — I’ll be happy to discuss your situation and advise how I can help.

You may not know exactly what the issue is yet. That is okay. Part of counselling can be finding the words together.

Sessions and Availability

I offer online counselling during the week, with a mixture of daytime and evening appointments.

Face-to-face sessions are available at weekends at my accessible counselling room in Cheadle Hulme. I also have limited weekday face-to-face availability in Romiley.

At the heart of my work is a person-centred belief that you are the expert on your own life. I will not tell you who to be or push you towards answers that do not fit. Instead, we will work together to understand what you need and what may help.

Availability can vary, so please feel free to get in touch if you are interested in working together but are unsure whether I can accommodate your schedule.

To help make counselling accessible to everyone, I offer discounted session rates for individuals facing financial challenges, including students, unemployed clients, and those on a low income. If you feel you may qualify for a reduced fee, please don’t hesitate to reach out—your wellbeing is important, and together we can find an option that works for you.

Taking the First Step

Starting counselling can feel daunting, especially if you are used to managing things on your own.

You are welcome to contact me for a brief introductory conversation. This gives us a chance to talk about what brings you to counselling, what you are looking for, and whether working together feels right.

You do not have to have the perfect words. You can start where you are.

Availability can vary, so please feel free to get in touch if you are interested in working together but are unsure whether I can accommodate your schedule.

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting — and that’s completely okay. You don’t need to have the “right words” or even know exactly what you’re looking for. Sometimes, it simply starts with a conversation.

If you’re curious about how counselling might help, or you’d just like to ask a few questions, I’d love to hear from you. There’s no pressure, no obligation — just a safe, friendly space to talk things through.
